Most anywhere you seek out the attractions of a new area you are visiting, you will that many are generally more expensive than you were hoping they would be. Usually tho if you check a little closer you might find some local free attractions to enjoy while there. This is pretty much the situation for the Gold Coast. There are some very good pay as you enjoy attractions, there is also however, quite a few tourist attractions that are free to all.

One unique attraction in this region is the O'Reilly's Tree Top Walk. When you visit this lovely location you will surely be enamored by the incredible towering trees and natural surroundings. This walk takes you high up in the trees and allows you to spend a few minutes walking above the rainforest floor. You will find this adventure costs you nothing and while you are visiting the rainforest there are many other opportunities to explore.

The beaches of the Gold Coast are incredible and free. If you want to enjoy a real treat then be sure to take a sunrise, sunset, or moonlit walk along the beach to really experience the tranquility of these spectacular ocean beaches. They are filled with natural splendor and won't cost you anything at all to appreciate day or night. And if you are looking for some culture from your beach exploration then be sure to check out the sculptures along the beaches at Surfers Paradise and Currumbin.

Gold Coast shopping is a lot of fun and is surprisingly not very expensive at the many unique and offbeat shops that can make an afternoon stroll very rewarding. Window shopping is very alive and well as well as the many merchants that desire to show you around their little world of artwork, crafts and most anything locally produced. Couple this with the smells of small roadside cafes and shops, you will leave with some great memories.

If you are looking for a way to spend a day full of great sights and sounds without the constraints of a budget, you can rely on the freebies for the day. These will include many of the art museums and galleries, including the Gold Coast Sporting Hall of Fame. The Sporting Hall of Fame attracts thousands of visitors that enjoy anything that is sports related. Next, try out the Gold Coast City Art Gallery to get a good example of the local artists talents as well as enjoy the artists and art works of major well known artists from around the world. A Gold Coast visit needs nothing more than a modest budget, beyond the airfare, to let the incredible adventure in a exotic location begin.
