A Video Travel Equipment to Go with and One to Keep at Home

By Phil Guye

When you read about which travel devices to buy, you usually get a standard menu of the small things that make your trip that much more enjoyable - the little hand-wound spring-powered radio, an all-in-one pocket instrument, a hardcore tiny indestructible digicam, a first aid kit. Let's look at the travel gizmo in a distinct angle. What about something that can help you quiet that voice at the back of your mind which doubts about how exactly everything is going back at home when you're away swimming in the crystal waters off of the coast of South Africa?

There's a gaggle of new Internet-enabled products available on the market that act as your eye-in-the-sky. Consider these, and a few additional great new suggestions for amusement on the road too. First of all, is the personal video system from Vue? It includes two power-efficient wireless video cameras in a box. You can place them anywhere you want - in your little one's space to make sure your sister does remember to feed him punctually, facing out the window to make certain there's no funny business happening at the front door, and so forth. The recording these cameras capture is routed right to the world wide web, where one can go view what goes on in your house, from half a world away. You can also view the video on your cell phone anywhere. It doesn't capture any audio though; plus it doesn't always have a motion detector; it's not a security system. What it really does is, it permits you to watch your home the entire time you are away. It is going for $300; and that's a great deal in a travel equipment.

Sling box could be a great way to share your expensive satellite TV connection with anyone. It can also be a wonderful way to see your personal cable or satellite television in your own home, from anywhere in the world. Let's say that there's a good hometown game that is on the agenda in your city, and you have to stay in Tokyo during the time or something. Everything you need to do is, to put together your Sling Box to beam that game via the internet to enable you to enjoy it from anywhere you happen to be. Your laptop or your cell phone turns into a tv receiver for the photo your Sling Box puts out. Who says that each travel gadget has to take a trip with you?

But enough of that stuff; here are a few fantastic gadgets which brighten your life while traveling. Let's say that you are waiting around in the airport, and you'd like to watch a movie in your laptop computer. The only problem is that the people seated on either side of you, not to mention the 10-year-old behind, all come with an unfit fascination with the proceedings in your screen. What is a tourist to do? Consider the ViewGuard privacy screen travel device. It will not run you $50, but it alters the viewing perspectives of your display so that only you could see what's going on. No person looking at either side of you, and no one behind you has any thought what you have on. But if you want to get genuinely private with your video, consider the I-Glasses for approximately $300. It's an odd looking set of goggles with small monitors in the eyepieces. It kind of functions like Viewmaster, except that it gives you abundant, crisp video quality on what appears to be an 80 inch plasma tv. Place that along with the way it connects to an ipod device, and the stereo sound you get, and you've got an actual special encounter.

Needless to say, each and every travel gadget like this needs a little juice. Ensure you buy the $50 iGo Charge battery charger. It really works everywhere, on any kind of voltage or outlet, and contains an interior battery system to save power for when you are away from civilization. They are available in different types of plugs for every single gizmo in the world; it might just save your valuable skin some day.
