Louisville KY Hotels Close To History And Sporting Arenas

By Mike Woods

Louisville KY hotels plant visitors near some of the biggest and busiest centers in the country. There is something here for sport lovers, music fans, and history buffs. Make sure you stay long enough to see it all and check hotel web sites. These contain valuable information about event dates which could influence where you stay and how early you book.

For example, if you are coming to enjoy a race at Churchill Downs, so might hundreds of other people. Enjoy the movement of many noble-looking horses, perhaps place a bet. If you win, take spouse or client out for a really fancy meal at one of the race track restaurants; maybe even take time for tour of the grounds.

Kentucky Fair Expo Center plays host to some agricultural and commercial events throughout the year. With several hundred acres, it is a huge facility, home of the state fair. KFC Yum! Center is another popular arena, but along with its corporate exhibitors one will see on their calendar a variety of musical and sporting events. In particular, this is home to University of Louisville Cardinals basketball, both men and women.

Lots of sport is happening in Louisville. Take in a game of soccer. Root for a football or baseball team. Then there are the zoo acrobatics which are a must for animal lovers.

Another favorite with kids is the science center. Make a deal: parents take children for some hands-on fun; children let parents take in a winery or too. Jim Beam and various vineyards welcome guests to view and taste.

For your holiday location choose Fairfield Inn. You will be close enough to drive or walk to all your vacation amenities and attractions. This is a pet-friendly hotel so bring Fido too, unless your purpose is business. In this case you might not have time. Local businesses of note include Ford Motor Company, Fort Knox while universities and medical centers also attract corporate guests.

Sixty-four rooms are fitted with work space, microwave and mini-refrigerator so you can catch a quick snack at night when keeps you up all night. Use their business facilities too: delivery, fax and copy services among others. For breakfast head downstairs to a well-lit and casual breakfast room. At lunch or supper spots such as Cracker Barrel and Outback Steakhouse will feed you well.
