Some Of New York City's Best That I Have Not Yet Been To

By Kyle Jenkins

New York City has too many restaurants to get through. I spend way too much money on eating out at dinners, but I have only made a dent in the New York City restaurant list. Here are the meals I have not had that I would like to try the most.

Marea is chef Michael White's newest restaurant, located right along central park. It is Italian cuisine with a focus on seafood. This bone marrow and octopus fussilli has gotten rave reviews.

7th Street between 1st Avenue and Avenue A is one of my favorite blocks in the East Village, let alone the whole city. What most people don't see on this block is a subterranean Japanese restaurant called Kyo Ya. Kyo Ya serves up a Kaiseke style menu, which is supposed to be an absolutely amazing experience both in taste and visually.

Totto Ramen recently opened in Midtown West to enormous buzz. It is already reporting 30 minute plus waits. After conquering the East Village ramen spots, such as Minca and Ippudo, I am ready to see what other areas of the city have to offer when it comes to these Japanese noodles.

Brunch at Clinton Street Baking Company puts your pride on the line. Are you really going to trek down to the Lower East Side and wait an hour and a half for eggs and pancakes? Apparently, a lot of people are willing to.

While I have been for lunch, I have yet to experience what many are calling the best brunch in the city. Co. Pizza in Chelsea. This spot has been known as one of the best Neapolitan pies the city currently has to offer, and I look forward to trying it.

Ok fine, I have not yet been to Shake Shack. I know, I know, how can I call myself I New Yorker. As bad as I want to try that burger I don't think any burger is worth waiting on a 45 minute line for.

Per Se - Finally, one that I actually will be trying, let alone in 2 weeks! My loving parents feed into my obsession for food and got me a gift certificate for two for my birthday here. Per Se is regarded by many as the greatest restaurant in New York and I cannot wait to try it.
