Cheap Beach Vacation Tips
Bring the Beach Chairs and Find a Cheap Beach Vacation - Grab the beach cart and beach chairs to take the beach vacation you missed this summer. - Are you feeling like it's a little too soon for Christmas and a little too late for a trip to the beach? The work-flow is, well, flowing and you're asking yourself, "What's the point of two weeks paid vacation when all I ever use (at a time) is one?" These reasons (and fabulous off-season beach deals!) are the incentive to load up the beach cart and take those you love on a beach vacation. A much-deserved break of three to four days to unwind and invest in your peace of mind is a great gift to you, your family, and even your business associates, who will certainly appreciate your fresh attitude.
1. Make a plan for this beach vacation, just as you would any project. What facets will cost the most? Travel and location costs are the two major factors in deciding your beach vacation budget. Shorter vacations also mean planning your sun and sand activities wisely. Prioritize your options into "must have" and "if there's time". Costs for water sports, boat rides, and beach and surf tour guides will add up quickly, while walks on the beach, watching the sunrise and sunset and building sandcastles are free. Deciding what's important as you plan will assure that you make the most of your "cheap beach vacation".
2. Once you've decided your location search for online deals in the area. Search out those locales that are open in the off-season and email or call about the conditions of the beach and water. Narrow your list to those beaches that are clean, easy to reach and offer the amenities you need in the off-season. The more popular the destination, the better chance you have of finding what you want within your budget. Out-of-the way places may be willing to offer extras just to have your business. Fantastic beach packages and all-inclusive are out there as well! Travel accommodations to popular destinations may be more readily available as well. Consider traveling by auto if your choice is close enough.
3. When planning your budget for dining/eating-out on a beach vacation consider a different path than past beach trips. Take advantage of the kitchenette or microwave and mini-fridge at the hotel or beach rental. A local grocery store or deli near the beach will have all you need for most of your meals and snacks. Take along a collapsible beach or picnic cooler that you can refill with ice (from the hotel) and bottled water. Little things add up quickly, plan two or three meals out and enjoy the "out-of-the-way, out-of-season" savings.
