Jamaica Villas For Caribbean Travelers

Jamaica Villas For Caribbean Travelers

by Adriana Noton

One could be forgiven for assuming that renting Jamaica villas is like any other vacation rental. Actually, there's a world of difference. A villa on this Caribbean paradise is more like an oceanfront palace. It has more facilities than are normally found in a full-service hotel.

The basic facilities found at any villa include television and internet, air conditioning, heated outdoor pools and a beach on the doorsteps, if not a beach club. Some even sport a helipad, spa, fitness center and other upscale amenities found in big resorts. The bigger villas might also offer function space and be able to accommodate a wedding party or a conference.

Every villa is also staffed to the teeth with everything from a chef to a butler, housekeeping staff and a driver. A laundress and nannies are available on call, if necessary. Even the seafood is freshly caught locally and delivered to the chef each morning.

Think about it - unlike a hotel room, this is a private residence. But there are no dishes to be washed or kids to be bathed. There is nothing to do except laze around and enjoy the brilliant tropical weather, the ocean view and the vacation. If guests can manage to tear themselves away from the pool and the beach, there's plenty of other things to enjoy in Ocho Rios, Negril, Montego Bay and the other Jamaican towns.

The evenings are even more magical and romantic, with the balmy weather and a butler on hand to announce that it's time for dinner. A candle-light outdoor dinner served by uniformed wait staff is somehow a lot more appealing when it's in the comfort and privacy of a private villa, especially more so when guests can dress casual. The magical quality is only enhanced some more by the menu, which includes things like coconut shrimp, curry goat and jerk chicken.

Kids will probably end up enjoying the holiday a whole lot more than the parents. The beach is a few steps out the door and the staff knows exactly what the children need. This means burgers, pizzas, shakes, mac & cheese and all that's good. A standard issue breakfast includes eggs & bacon, pancakes, banana plantains, cereal, etc with lots of fresh fruits and freshly squeezed orange juice.

The nanny takes charge of the kids, and makes sure they don't stray too far or dig in too deep into the beach. Parents are, therefore, free to spend the day hanging from a hammock or lounging on a poolside deckchair. For those with energy to burn or a golf handicap to improve, there's plenty of golf courses and tennis courts all over Jamaica.

The beach is of course always there for sunbathing and to take a swim. Not to mention beach parties and horseback riding on the beach. Guests will also be able to browse the shops and galleries, enjoy the restaurants and bars and all kinds of entertainment.

Jamaica's hospitality, the food and the music and brilliant Caribbean weather combine to offer a holiday that's well worth enjoying every now and then, and possibly also every year. The Caribbean villas with its own stretch of beach and staff and facilities make it an offer that's hard to refuse. Either way, Jamaica has a sneaky habit of making sure visitors enjoy a memorable vacation.
